Tuition: $150.00

With the belief that theatre skills are also life skills, the Shakespeare Theatre Company offers professional development workshops that explore the classical actor’s toolbox and its practical application to various settings and situations in the professional world. Capture your audience’s attention, keep them engaged and deliver an effective message that will resonate with them long after the meeting is over. Exploring techniques utilized by stage actors, Leading Roles will empower participants to build trust, create the illusion of spontaneity and inspire action in their professional communication. Activities will include hands-on exploration and practice of physical theatre and non-verbal storytelling, breathing and relaxation techniques, identification and use of operative words, and textual analysis of Shakespeare’s language and rhetoric.

As one of the area’s leading providers of training in public speaking and communication skills, the Shakespeare Theatre Company invites your organization to participate in a unique professional development opportunity.  Boasting a diverse array of former clients including the National District Attorney’s Association, the Food and Drug Administration, and the National Gallery of Art, STC’s professional development programs are able to meet the demands and challenges of a wide variety of constituents. Listed in Washingtonian Magazine as one of the top ten Public-Speaking Programs in the DC area, STC’s professional development workshops strengthen the skills necessary to succeed in the professional world, including effective listening and communication, quick thinking and creative risk taking, and confident, persuasive public speaking.

Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions. We hope that your organization will take advantage of this unique opportunity and we look forward to working with you soon.
